Situated on 6 and 1/2 acres, we have four cabins available for booking and are ten minutes from the centre of Dryden, Ontario. On site we have a private boat launch and plenty of docking space available for you to bring your own boat. Lac Seul's Scout Lake Resort is located on the Northwest end of Lac Seul. We offer American Plan, Light Housekeeping, Family Packages, Hunting Packages and Outpost Package.
With thousands of inlets and bays in its 100 mile length, Lac Seul and good fishing mean the same thing when you talk about walleyes and northern. With never a portage, you can fish and explore new waters every day until you locate your favorite "hole". Reedy bays and steep rock ledges will satisfy even the most ardent fisherman. Lac Seul contains an abundance of Walleye averaging 2 - 5 pounds with large trophy walleye caught throughout the season. Northerns will give you lots of excitement, with 4 - 10 pounders being "just a nice fish", and up to 30 pounds being possible, to provide a real thrill. You'll say "fishin's good on Lac Seul!"
Lac Seul and surrounding area has excellent grouse and duck hunting. We also have fall bear hunting at our main base resort on Lac Seul and outpost Camp on McKenzie Bay. Moose hunts are also available but there are a limited number of tags. Our bear hunts, moose hunts, duck hunts and grouse hunts are very successful and in high demand, so be sure to book early!

There is no better way to experience Ontario's vast wilderness and incredible fishing then spending a week at a remote wilderness outpost camp in Northwestern Ontario.
Fishing is incredible. Both of our outpost lakes are stuffed with Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and Perch. Vaughn Lake and Lynx Lake are both located at the south-end of Lac Seul and north of Dryden Ontario. Fifty to one hundred Walleyes can be caught in a single day by one fisherperson with some reaching 10-pounds. Both our outpost lakes are Walleye factories. Northern Pike reach great sizes with 20-pounders being caught-&-released with the biggest in recent years reaching 30-pounds. Smallmouth Bass are plentiful in all sizes with some reaching 6-pounds. Perch are also common and reach the size of Jumbo Perch. With a sports license, you can bring fifty Perch Home.
We also offer big game adventures. Moose Hunting and Black Bear Hunting take place at our Lynx Lake Outpost in WMU 5. Moose in Ontario are plentiful with some Moose reaching 1500 pounds. Black Bears are common in the 175 to 250-pound range with some exceeding 400-pounds.

Viking Island is a small resort dedicated to fishing. It takes a short flight by float plane to reach Douglas Lake from Red Lake. Now you are in Woodland Caribou Wilderness Park. This is beautiful remote country, renowned for walleye, northern and lake trout fishing as well as wildlife viewing. The lakes are deep, but not huge, and closely connected with plenty of bays. The perfect setting for a relaxed fishing trip. The atmosphere on the island comes from another time. We have a maximum of 24 guests in camp per week and many have been visiting us for many years.

Vista Lake Outfitters is the only outfitter on a fantastic 12 mile long body of water known as Vista Lake.
