The Municipality of Machin is made up of 3 communities all situated on beautiful Eagle Lake. Eagle River, Minnitaki, and Vermilion Bay are all located in the heart of the Patricia Region on the Trans Canada Highway. With a population of about 1200 people, tourism, forestry and mining are the main industries supporting these communities.

Community services available include such shopping, an ice arena, a recreation center, senior citizens activities, 2 public schools, Blue lake Provincial Park, a volunteer fire department, public beaches for swimming, boating and fishing, cross-country ski trails, an airport and much, much more!

The many area lakes provide excellent fishing opportunities for walleye, northern pike, muskie, perch, trout, smallmouth bass and whitefish. The abundant forests make hunting for moose, deer, bear and grouse an experience to remember. There are many tourist outfitters in the area and whether you are looking for a drive-in, boat-in or fly-in lodge, you're sure to find one to suit your needs.
